Analysis:
The Real Madrid youth department takes in players already from an early age in the range of 6-8 years and onwards. At this age the players are not under contract and the relationship between Real Madrid and the individual player is rather considered inversely that it is the player who is benefiting from receiving qualified instruction and training and for being able to use the world class facilities in the Ciudad Real Madrid training facility. So even though there is a selective process where players audition to play for the one of the Real Madrid youth teams the players from 6-14 years of age approximately have to pay a membership fee in order to play for Real Madrid.
The players do wear the same uniform throughout the ranks as the first team with all the big names.
And even though that most products used by the players for match and for training are available for retail sales as well there are certain exceptions to the rule. Certain jerseys or training wear articles which might be of use to the players may be considered superfluous for retail purposes because the use might be different or because the estimated sales might be too low for making it worth producing a certain item.
A point in case is the Real Madrid goalie kit for youth or juniors aged 6 to 14 years.

So in the photos above one can see the Real Madrid goalie for one of the youth teams. Probably in the age range 8-10 years old. The kit the goal keeper is wearing consists of knee socks , long shorts , and a long sleeve jersey. The jersey is padded at the elbows. The boy has the lower part of the sleeves folded up around the elbows probably to get a bit of air to the skin.
When it comes to the goalie kit out for retail sales the long sleeve jersey padded at the elbows is not avaible. The reason for this be might that demand is rather limited since many kids who get this goalie minikit do not use it for playing matches. They would have a jersey which is in line with the uniform of the club or the team they represent. Furthermore the costs of having to buy jersey, shorts, socks separately might prevent many from actually buying the full set. Therefore adidas has made a boxed set with a short sleeve jersey unpadded, a pair of shorts which are also unpadded , and finally a set of sports socks which are not knee socks like in the photos above but rather shorter sports socks suitable for wearing in a pair of sneakers.
