Argentina’s World Cup 2010 jersey was officially presented prior to the match on the 14th of November between Spain and Argentina in the Vicente Calderon stadium in Madrid. The collection of adidas of jerseys for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa takes on a historical perspective.
Most of the jerseys are designed with an eye of the jerseys the respective national teams used during the 1980s. In the case of Argentina this is no exception. The photo below shows the 1986 jersey which back then was produced by Le Coq Sportif.

The latest Argentina jersey shares the same collar as the 1986 jersey which this time around is white. On previous jerseys the collar was usually black but true to the design of the 1986 jersey this time around collar and sleeve edges are white.

Both the 1986 and the 2010 jersey has 4 sky blue stripes and 3 white stripes diagonally. The 2010 jersey has 2 stars above the crest for the 2 World Cup titles that Argentina has won in 1978 and 1986 respectively.
The official name and number kit is black though and not white. It was black in 1986 and is also black in 2010.

Argentina's number kit for the World Cup 2010
Watch Leo Messi wearing the new Argentina jersey with the number 10. Since the video clip is from a friendly the Argentina players do not wear a name on the jersey. For the World Cup 2010 however Messi will wear the MESSI 10 jersey and not just number 10.
